Second Market A new way out for VC and PE

Today, I just read an interesting article about a possible new exit event that venture capitalists, startups employees and other investors could do. 

SecondMarket is a marketplace where people can sell and buy “illiquid assets”. Illiquid assets are anything that people cannot easily for money. In our case, we are referring shares that entrepreneurs  issue to investors (VCs, Angels investors, employees, management, etc.)

It looks there is a new possible way for VC and other investors to quit their investment in places such as SecondMarket. 

The VC could sell his stocks from a startup to other investors, instead of relying in IPOs or acquisitions.
